Improving Energy Efficiency of Electrical Wheelchairs |
Summary: |
Generally, persons bound to electrical wheelchairs have limited freedom of movement reliant on battery life, which only allows for short distance displacement between charges. In addition, recharging batteries is time losing. The purpose of this work is to propose a system that will increase the moving distance of an electrical wheelchair and the durability of batteries by adding a renewable resource and increasing the efficiency of the power converters. |

Biography: |
Abdeselem CHAKAR received the Master's degree in control of electrical systems from Djilali Liabes University, Sidi Bel Abbas, Algeria in 2016.Currently, he is a Ph.D. degree candidate in Smart Grids & Renewable Energies Laboratory Of Tahri Mohammed University, Bechar, Algeria.
His research interests include electric wheelchairs, electric vehicles, DC-DC converter, power management, PV system, DC micro-grids. |
